| Q. |
What can I write about on this site? |
| A. |
You can express your opinion on services you have received
in the past for any of the supported categories. However, please keep in mind
that this site is for reviewing services only, not products. To learn more about Propinions, click
here. |

| Q. |
Who can I write about? |
| A. |
You must write only about those services with which you have had
first-hand experience. If your friend or relative has had first-hand experience with a service that they
would like to share with others, please do not write about it — instead, ask them to join Propinions
and share their experiences themselves. |
| Q. |
Can I write about local retail stores or shops? |
| A. |
As long as the store provided service to you —
e.g. Home Depot installed air conditioning for you — you can write about the service you received.
But please don't review the 'store' itself. Our users are more interested in hearing about the
services that the store had to offer to you, like installation and repair services. |
| Q. |
Is it ok to review websites? |
| A. |
Currently, we do not allow opinions on websites (except your
opinion of Propinions!) |
| Q. |
Why don't you have more categories like restaurants, local attractions, or products? |
| A. |
For now, we want to focus on services, and be the best at it.
As we grow, we will continue to evaluate what is best for our users, and add more categories along the way.

| Q. |
If I don't live in any of the metro areas listed, can I still add opinions? |
| A. |
If your metro or area code is not listed, please hold on to your valuable opinions
for now. We plan to add more metros gradually. |
| Q. |
But I LOVE Propinions, and I really want to contribute a few opinions. |
| A. |
We're touched. Deeply. If you love Propinions so much, and your metro is
not listed, consider relocating to one of the listed metros. You'll find lots of opinions on good moving companies
to help you with the move, right here on Propinions :-). |
| Q. |
Why should I add my email address to my profile? |
| A. |
If you ever forget your password, and we have
your email address with us, we can email you a link to reset your password. Without
the email address, you will have no way to reset your password, and you will have
to register as a new user. Which means you will lose all your earnings.
Other than that, there is currently no need to enter your email address. |
| Q. |
Do you ever delete users' opinions? |
| A. |
We never delete genuine opinions that are placed in the correct category and
metro with valid business contact information. However, we reserve the right to delete your opinions and block/close your account if one or more of the following is true: |
if your opinions violate our Terms of Use. |
if your opinions appear to be copied from elsewhere (including this site). |
if the contact information entered for the businesses/services is obviously incorrect. |
if your opinions appear to be self-promoting or advertising a business. |
if your opinions are unreadable or difficult to understand. |
if your opinions contain an unpardonable number of errors. |
if your opinions are unrelated to the businesses you are writing about. |
if your opinions are not from your own first-hand experience with the businesses. |
if your opinions are too generic and do not provide any specific details about your first-hand experience with the businesses. |
if your opinions appear to be made up. |
if your opinions are written in ALL CAPS. |
if your opinions are written in a language other than English. |
if we have reason to believe that your opinions are of no value to our users, or will offend our users. |
| Q. |
Do you ever modify users' opinions? |
| A. |
Even though at times we're tempted to fix the typos and
spelling errors in opinions that our users sometimes write, it is our commitment to never modify users' opinions.
We want you to see the opinions exactly as the author wrote them. No chopping. No oiling.
Not even a salad dressing on the side. |
| Q. |
What can I do to help? |
| A. |
Alert the admin: In order to keep this site genuine and useful for
everybody, you can help by reporting fraud opinions and users to us. At the bottom right corner of every opinion, you
will see a link called 'Alert the admin'. You can use this link to report fraud opinions and users to us. |
Rate other users' opinions: You can also help by rating other users' opinions as helpful, neutral,
or not helpful. If everybody gets together, this effort will go a long way in making the
content on this site more valuable for all of us. By clearly identifying the useful opinions from the useless ones, we
can have the useful opinions float to the top, while the useless ones can be placed at the bottom so you will never have
to see them. That will make your search for a competent service faster and more efficient. To rate a user's opinion,
you will need to click on one of the arrows placed at the bottom of every opinion. |
